Cottonwood Kindercottage
A Waldorf inspired Early Childhood Program in West Seattle
At Cottonwood Kindercottage our deep understanding of human development and the young child's connection to all they experience is the center of our pedagogy.

Caregiver + Child Class
Children ages 1-3 attend with a caregiver
Our caregiver and child classes offer a chance for parents/caregivers to bond with their little ones while learning and growing together in community, within the glorious backdrop of a Pacific Northwest park setting. We provide a supportive and nurturing environment where families can connect with their children, each other, and nature.

Mixed Age Kindergarten
Children age 3-6
Enrolling for fall 2025

In the mixed age Kindergarten we honor the growing child's need for independence and provide a developmentally focused curriculum. We understand the impacts of daily life on the young child's physical, mental, and emotional bodies. Our program is built on the foundational importance of rhythm, rest, and repetition.
*Children must be 3 years old and potty trained to join our Mixed Age Class.

Ms. Milana
Milana has been teaching Waldorf education for over 14 years. She studied Early Childhood Education, and received her Waldorf Early Childhood certificate in 2014. She has undertaken additional trainings and continous study in therapeutic approaches to ensure she is able to meet the various needs of young children in today's world. Milana is passionate about supporting families and children as they navigate the joy's and challenges that arise during the first seven years of a child's life. Milana believes time in nature, freedom in play, and offering children real life experiences are essential for healthy development. It is social, and physical engagement that foster young children's love and reverence for themselves and all of life.
Milana is thrilled to bring this form of education to her beloved West Seattle.
